Full disclosure this is the third iteration of Episode 1 of Stoner & the Veev, and I think I worked out enough of the kinks with this one that some people out there should like it. Nerds probably, but I ain’t complainin…

In my first attempt I tried to make it basically a montage to go with the theme song, but in technical terms “it got away from me”. Even though it ended up making pretty much no sense as a whole, it was a good learning experience that I applied to the making of the first episode of Dimmer Than Darkness. So not a wash at least.

The second attempt I tried pretty soon after completing DTD Ep 1, and it started out pretty much the same until Tracers mentions the “incident” and I took it in the direction of describing a lot of the trauma that made Tracers so upset in order to give our two heroes a good reason to cheer her up, medicinally. Anyway, it ended up getting away from me, too, just in a totally different direction. It was making perfect sense (or as much as this medium allows I guess), but it was b l e a k . So, kinda the opposite of what I was trying to accomplish.

Which brings us to the product that you are about to (or just did, either one is good for me…neither one is you being a petty little nerd (no offense, none taken)): A Chocobo Says What!?. The only real suggestion I have for watching it is to take the second half especially as a group of friends blowing of some steam and goofing around with each other. It’s just supposed to be silly – serious art is all great and good, I love the stuff truly, but sometimes silly fun is all you need. And if some silly fun is all you be needin at the moment, spend a session with our pals Stoner and the Veev and see where the afternoon (from outer space all timezones are afternoon, that’s just science btw) takes you.
